Original Video Game Musical Theme – The Last Of Us, Bedroom Scene

Basic melodic theme I composed for the bedroom scene in The Last of Us, where Ellie realizes Joel is going to leave her after they’ve unexpectedly become friends.

This scene is intensely emotional and sparked some inspiration to write a short melodic concept theme to support the narrative.

Note: This is the piano melodic theme only and not a score.

Not overly dark, the melody aims to rather suggest the relationship over time between Joel and Ellie, As with the ups and downs with them and how their relationship evolves over the course of the game, so the theme changes between surreal tones and sadness.
